【摘要】:1.1ThisspecificationcoverstheprocedureforlongitudinalCharpyV-notchtestingofstructuralsteelandcontainstwofrequenciesoftesting.Theimpactpropertiesofsteelcanvarywithinthesameheatandpiece,beitasrolled,controlrolled,orheattreated.Thepurchasershould,therefore,beawarethattestingofoneplate,bar,orshapedoesnotprovideassuranceallplates,bars,orshapesofthesameheatasprocessedwillbeidenticalintoughnesswiththeproducttested.Normalizingorquenchingandtemperingtheproductwillreducethedegreeofvariation.1.2Thisspecificationisintendedtosupplementspecificationsforstructuralsteelwhensospecified.1.3Thisspecificationdoesnotnecessarilyapplytoallproductspecifications;therefore,themanufacturerorprocessorshouldbeconsultedforenergyabsorptionlevelsandminimumtestingtemperaturesthatcanbeexpectedorsupplied.1.4Twofrequenciesoftesting(PandH)areprescribed.1.5Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththisspecification.
