【摘要】:Theamountandsizedistributionofnoncarbonate(insoluble)materialincarbonateaggregatesisofinteresttothoseconductingresearchonthepolishsusceptibilityofstoneusedinpavementsoronthefrictionpropertiesofpavementsurfaces.Inaddition,someagenciesutilizethetestforacceptancepurposestodelineatecarbonateaggregatesthatpolishexcessivelyandbecomeslipperyandthosethatwillnot.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationofthepercentageofinsolubleresidueincarbonateaggregatesusinghydrochloricacidsolutiontoreactthecarbonates.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionstatementsaregiveninSection7.
